EyeToy: Chat offers 4 very different ways to communicate which include text, voice, video mail and one to one video chat. The text chat rooms have a 256 people capacity, while 16 people can converse at once in the 'voice chat' room. The most fun of course is using EyeToy: Chat video chat function where you can see the person you are talking to in real time. For the cost of broadband connection you can have unlimited video chat with anyone in the world. Broadband connection cost varies between ISP (Internet Service Providers). Check your local listings for ISP availability. Sony has worked very closely with several children's charities to ensure that EyeToy: Chat is safe as possible. New EyeToy: Chat users will be required to register their details online at PlayStation Net; they will then need to verify their details by inputting the PIN number sent to their address. With strict safety measures, chat room moderators and clear processes, EyeToy: Chat is one of the safest communication packages available. Password and address book data is stored on the PS2 memory card, allowing effective free-roam EyeToy Chat is a product with no age restriction, but with full parental control and optional security features.
